The hype surrounding newlyweds Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker’s musical, A Mother’s Love, has come to a screeching halt. She took to Instagram last Thursday to officially inform fans and ticket holders that the scheduled 20 plus cities tour had been cancelled. The exact reason for cancellation was not spelled out, however, it is safe to conclude that it was out of her or her husband’s realm of control.
Fans took to social media, especially Instagram, to help promote musical. Several supporters created skits urging the public to get A Mother’s Love tickets early. Fan promotion coupled with Street Promo Teams and cast promo on social media gave drive for patrons to preorder tickets. How would there be a cancellation? A question that needs an answer.
All signs are pointing to an overly eager promoter whom the couple licensed to take the musical on the road. After performing in only three cities and postponing of a few other cities along the tour, the entire tour cancellation struck all those involved unexpectedly. Per tour schedule, her along with additional cast members, musicians, and others should have been in transit to fourth stop, Detroit, MI.
Kandi is a talented songwriter, singer, play writer, entrepreneur, and reality TV star, to name a few. It seems that she has the Midas touch. Everything that she touches turns to gold. Prime example, in late 2011 Kandi launched a luxury intimate care line, Bedroom Kandi. Since its inception, the 2012 AVN Award for “Overall Best Sex Toy Line” has grown tremendously. There is even opportunity for people like you and I to can become BKBC, Bedroom Kandi Boutique Consultants, selling AVN “O” Award winning product and others.
A Mother’s Love may not currently be coming to a city near you, but I would not give up hope yet. Kandi has shown that tenacity prevails. I look forward to her taking back her power to share story of love.
